I am a retired Army combat veteran with two deployments to Iraq and two to Afghanistan, who spent the latter part of my military career transitioning from protective services for four-star generals into counterintelligence and ultimately technical surveillance countermeasures, protecting the Secretary of Defense and the White House from technical surveillance threats before moving into that same work supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration and the Department of Energy. I hold an MBA and recently became a Facility Security Officer. I am based in Maryland.
I am also a constitutional conservative with long term political ambitions and a genuine uncertainty about whether the institutions I spent my career protecting are functioning the way they were designed to.
This publication is an attempt to think through that question out loud, consistently, and on the record.
The analytical framework I apply most consistently is geopolitical and structural rather than partisan. I am more interested in why systems produce the outcomes they produce than in which team wins any particular news cycle. I try to apply the same evidentiary standard to both parties, acknowledge legitimate counterarguments before dismissing them, and fact check before writing rather than after. I do not always succeed but that is the standard I hold myself to.
I started writing here in May 2026, before I had any particular public profile to protect and before anyone was watching. That is intentional. The archive exists as a record of how I think, built before there was any incentive to perform rather than reason. Whatever comes next, this is where the thinking started.
If you are reading this years from now, welcome. If you are reading this the week it was written, pull up a chair.
